ok well these are the problems i have:

#1 whenever i reboot it asks for me to install a drive for my sata hd, do auto search and it wont find it, but my sata drive works anyways (os is on it)

#2 theres an unknown device i have no idea wut it is =/ (attached on picture)

#3 i figured it was some chipset driver problem so i dled the intel chipset software that supported my chipset and it says that i did not have the correct chipset, i look into device drivers and it has an error on one of the chipset things (Attached on picture also)

any tips or just format =/

also fear my paint skills :santa:

Have you tried the motherboard drivers supplied by MSI's website? What about extracting the Intel drivers (for 915P chipset - ICH6) to a folder (right click and "extract to" with winzip or winrar) and trying a manual install on the SMBus controller from device manager?

Is this XP, and if so, what service pack are you on? Finally, are you using the onboard sound or a PCI card?

Simply going to Intel's website, downloading the ICH6 drivers and installing them will take care of any chipset related drivers, included sound, sata, ata, nic, ect.

You can get them here --> http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=1765&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go%21

do i just overwrite the files...?Yes. You shouldn't be prompted to overwrite though if you use Intel's installer.
