Just installed a voodoo 3 3500 for a friend and the resolution's stuck on 640x480. I never claimed to be a voodoo expert, so one of you will have to solve this one for me ;).

Ideas?

you will have to go into the "device manager" and click on the "monitors" tab then click on the monitor specified below it and goto "properties", click on the "driver" tab from there and "update driver".
you will have to choose the "specify the location of the driver" from there next choose the "display list of all drivers" then "Show all Hardware" from there choose the best monitor type and you should be all set.
That was one downfall to the 3dfx cards, when you install them it sets your monitor driver to a default 640x480.
Hope that helps ya.

Although I figured out to set it as a plug and play, you were right on the money :D.

Works great now. Friend's thrilled with his 'new' K6-350 and 3D card. UT at 40 fps at 640x480, but looks good for a 16MB 3 year old card.
