I have got a AMD T-Bird 1000@1302 with a Alpha heatsink and delta black-labet fan, but I´ve got an old watercooling system I´ve plant to mount again. I have just ordered a new cooling head, with a 80W peltier element......but is that enought? the temp. is now 51 degree celcius.....how fare can it go down with water and peltier cooling???

From what i was told, that peltier element is way to small. That would be good for maybe a intel p3, but amd produce ~80watts of heat, so you would need atleast a 156watt pelt to see some changes in temps.
hope this helps. :D
BTW what waterblock(cooling head) did you buy?

since you are already putting out at least 67 watts of heat, significantly more if you are running voltage greater than default, you will not get much cooling out of a peltier element, and it may even run hotter than without one. I would not even use a peltier unless it is at least 120 watts.
In my experience, a 156 watt pelt will probably get you another 100 MHz. A 172 watt pelt may get you further. Dual 120s seem to be the best compromise for serious cooling and still being able to dispose of the heat from the pelts and the CPU.
You can read some of my experiences with pelts here. (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14276)

Thanks for all the greate comments on my problem. The water block I had ordered (just cancled it) is called "Kølehoved F120"

its a danish page, but the waterblock is on the top the price is usd is approx. $108.

the anwser to all your problems :)
i used a 118w pelt with a duron, and that was barely enough. like colin said, i'd say at least a 172w pelt. imho, it's not worth the trouble, though... condensation is a big issue, and the gains from peltier-cooling are minimal with socket a chips.

I have an 1.1 Gig Athlon and with a 80 watt pelt and water cooler it has a temp of 9C.
