I have this weird problem on my computer every time I hit a link on a site and it's supposed to open on a different window the new window pops up in blank. Once it opens the hourglass comes up as if it were still loading but it never loads. It only happens with IE and not on Firefox.

I have tried all of this programs thinking that it is a virus or some sort of spyware or adware but none of them can find anything.

Ad-aware
Spy-bot
Microsoft Antispyware
Antivir -anti virus(the main antivirus on my computer)
Kaspersky -Antivirus
Trend Micro -online scan
Bitdefender -online scan (both the anti virus and the anti-spyware)
Sophos antivirus

Tried Panda activescan but it needed to open in a new window and IE won't allow it. I also reinstalled IE6 and nothing.

And it won't even let me preview or spell chech my post here.

Try reinstalling internet explorer. goto www.microsoft.com/ie, download the latest version. If that doesn't fix it, then it may be a bug in microsoft's code, or an incompatability with some other installed software... there's no easy way to tell.

I had this problem a while back also. It had to do with reloading/reregistering a DLL file. I can't remember what the exact command was, but all I did was do a Yahoo search for something like "IE Blank Window" or something along those lines.

I tried that and found this site and was able to solve the problem.
