Anybody running an Epox 8kha+/xp1800+and V5

I havent built the box yet and the parts guy I deal with for some reason says theres a Conflict with AMD chips and Voodoo5's...

he's telling me the new setup will not work

I will be using an Epox 8KHA+ with an XP1800+ and the 3dfx Voodoo5

Help me out with some input please

ouch. voodoo5 with a setup like that? bottle-neckage to the extreme. Go the extra mile and at least grab an MX.

actually, I'm using a voodoo5 PCI temporarily until Leadtek sends me a new GF2 Pro.. my previous had some serious issues.

i CANNOT get the drivers to work with this v5 (yes i have an AMD based system), i try and install and it gives me a "Data Invalid" error once completed. So for the time being im surfing in 16 color mode @ 800x600.

so aparently your "parts guy" is correct

I agree, get a better video card, maybe an ATI Radeon 64MB DDR.

i agree get a Radeon 8500(maybe wait until drivers are sorted out), or a Geforce 3Ti 200....
