Patriot DDR 600...$179

Patriot DDR 400...$157

Both of these are Xblk pats, rated 2 2 2 5 at 400 and 2.6v...are these both tccd chips? Are the 179's just the ones that have actually been tested up to 600? The 400s ones that failed to 600 or weren't tested? Any ideas?

Looking to get a second set of xblks...2t i know...

Mate, the DDR600 ones are binned TCCD. You could compare them with the best ones offered by GSkill and OCZ. I for one have 2 sets of the PC3200 and both do DDR600 without a hitch. I would go with the DDR600 ones as there is very little difference in terms of price betwixt the two.

Have you tried oc'n with 4x512? I've read that everybody gets 2T timings, but not much about how far people have oc'd.

Yup. I've tried that. You have to use 2T. Its a CPU limitation (Athlon64's). I have hit 282MHz 2.5-4-3-10-2T.

Coo thx...

I haven't made up my mind yet, but i'd like to have 2gb and i'd like to still be able to oc. I'd also not like to spend another 300 on 2x1024 that will do both at 1T.

I'm currently waiting on a cmos chip from jetway...so i'm really thinking more strongly about just getting a dfi board, cuz i'm tired of waiting (but they've got those new boards coming out inside a week...so i'm waiting to see what those look like too). Which would set back my 2gb options for the time being ($-wise anyway).
