Is 5500 in 3dmark 2005 good for an x800xt AIW? running 536/563

IMHO your score seems to be about 800 points low comparing to one i have from when i owned that type of card. Now if the system in your sig is running the bench you could have some of that be from buss speeds being lower, but a comparelink would be nice to fully see why your score is low.

Comparing to this score here http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=854765 it does seem that the system is holding you back a tad. Now in all fairness, these compares arnt realy appropriate since they are 2 totaly different platforms. BUt Honestly canty see any other reason for the big differences, unless you running bench with AA/AF running, and drivers set to quality.

No, set to performance and I don't believe I have AA/Af running, never hurts to check.... But don't you always have AA/AF on? becuase when you go to control center AA is set to 2x and that's the lowest and same with AF....

I plan on upgrading my system to a 3.2 and pc3200 ram when I move for college (or hopefully sooner).

actualy AA/AF can be completely off if set to application controlled. Then an app like 3dmark runs without it at thats its default setting.

Oh, I see now, yeah, that's what it is set to. Guess I just need to upgrade my 3 year old system when I have the money, keep buying stuff I don't really need :)

Guess I really don't need that either though... lmao

::edit::

BTW, how do you check you're overall comparison in 3dmark? like what you rank overall.

in project manager you just search by your video card, and count how far back ya are from the front.

As far as the rig. IF it still plays your games Ok then you'll be OK. and ya can save up a bit more for even better thing ya dont need ;)
