My current computer is as follows....

AMD Athlon 2600+ overclocked to a 2700+ 2.17 ghz and 1 gig of pc 2700 DDR 333 ram with a Soyo Dragon Ultra KT400 Black Edition MotherBoard.
With a Nvidia Gforce4 TI 4400 128 mb ddr ram. video card

Would I notice much of a difference if I was to upgrade to a

Chaintech S1689 Socket 939 ATX Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.20GHz Processor

Or similar?

TIA JACK

dude, you'd notice a world of difference. Mostly from the memory controller bein' ?onchip/die? with the CPU. Get some PC3200 to go with it, and you'll be goin' at speeds much faster than that 2600.

From what i've been seeing though ... You may wanna take heed and wait a couple of weeks and get one of those 144-146 Opterons i hear 3.ghz + OC on air with nice cache and at $220 :)

Thanx for the input guys....
so i guess ill go for the upgrade
