Vid card only works after being frozen?

My Radeon 9500np stopped working a few months ago...I would get a long, then 2 short beeps on start up, followed by no video. I tried throwing it in the freezer for a few minutes, and lo and behold it started up fine. Why would this happen?

Just call ATI and send it back.

3 year warranty, and they don't have 9500s anymore so you should get a 9800 or better.

I don't think I can send it back cuz i've had one of those zalman heatpipe heatsinks on it for awhile
