Win partition and IE5

Just got a new HDD the other day(IBM 60GPX 40gb) and wondering if the size of my partition will have any adverse affect on i-net speed, somebody told me size of the HDD matters, wanted to put win on a 5gb partition, but I don't want to sacrafice speed. Any idea's welcome.

It really shouldn't make any difference. The only thing with partition size now is the OS you're using (i.e. whether it uses FAT32 or NTFS, NTFS is much more efficient than FAT32). A really big partition i.e. 30+Gb will suffer from 'slack' under FAT32. But overall that will affect general system performance rather than just IE.
