web forum suggestions

i pitched a web forum idea for to my managers just a few minutes ago via email. i'm guessing we will have about 300-1000 members. bandwithd is not a concern

what are some good free forum software's to use? must be free, i noticed a few of them at work use snitz???

phpBB. Or VB if you wanna pay and get the cushy feel. With phpBB you may have to do some work if you want a feature.

Don't use snitz. I manage a forum that uses snitz and it's horribal. Best ASP forum out there, but unless your forced to use ASP use phpBB.
