View Full Version : 2x1G or 4x512M for 2G total?

If I want to OC and I want a total of 2 gigs of memory, which is the better way to go? My understanding is that 512M sticks are faster than 1G sticks. I'm looking at the Crucial Ballistix right now. I like the LEDs.;)

2x1GB is better for the fact that the mem controllers on the A64's responds better to two sticks than four. You would have better results and less hasles with 2x1GB.

go with 2x1024. 4x512 is a real pain to get stable and you have to run 2T with 4 sticks. Get the Crucial sticks and save yourself a lot of trouble.
