if i was planning to take this celeron 466 and motherboard out of this computer and put them into another, and then get a new chip and motherboard should i get a duron or celeron or pentium 3? which of them is the best value for money? im looking for around 800-900mhz. also, can i get some advice on some reliable motherboards for these chips that cost less than $250 AUD.

thanks.

Probably a Duron. Definately has to have the most bang for the buck even though I'm still a Pentium lover.

If you want a new Motherboard and CPU...( you planing on getting new ram as well?)
I would go with the duron.... just make sure the motherboard you want it upgradable to Athlon XP.

The reason you wouldnt want an Intel systems is socket 370 is dead. Why buy a new motherboard if you will not be able to upgrade the CPU for it?

Dont know how much that money in US but the

533 Mhz celly had a 100% overclock

it went to 1066

other than that I would get an Asus A7V or A7V-E and get a duron and sum good ram..

thanks for the replies.

someone told me that the Asus A7V-E isnt good because it has a KT133 and not KT133A chipset. what's the difference between these two? I was considering a Gigabyte GA-7ZXH since its cheap but is it reliable?

Get an ECS K7V5A (Sis735chipset)....and some ddr ram and an Athlon 800 and that should only run you about 130$US the only thing is that im not sure if you can change the vcore on the ECS.....
