Hey all I have a bunch of power supply wires going around and im getting sick of it. I was wondering if there could be a way to....well how do i say this exactly.

Oks lets say I have a line from the PSU that contains 3 4-pin molexes, and a floppy. Now I want a connector that i can pop in and out when needed, so coming out from the PSU would be that line but then be a male/female connector. And I can attach on that line with a female/male connect making the line live again and contained all the 4 pin connectors and such.

Are there any sort of power connectors that i can use that are easy to take on and off? I really dont want to deal with molexes again, how about something that twists and lock or just something different.

Thanks again.

You're looking for a modular PSU. It's easy to make one if you have some connectors.
I remember about a molex that had two levers that are squeezed to disconnect it. I have no idea where to find one, though.
DIN connectors may work, although they tend to work loose after a while. I have seen some with a locking nut, though.

SAE/spade connectors might be worth a shot. can you crimp and solder?
just make sure to get the insulated ones... theyre sized by AWG i think. not sure how else to describe them.

Thanks alot guys, yeah i was looking at connectors and im finding circular connector that lock together. That would be great to have! Problem is that its for multiple pins and being the best electonics person in the world, kind of wanna have it stay as a 4 pin connector. I was googling sooo much last night, its still rattling in my brains, even with a hot cup of coffee.

Hey Teke, was this what you were talking about?

I wanted that pretty much but i would also take it one step farther, why? ....Because I can sounds like a legit reason lol.

They have kits like that for the "easy-disconnect" molex connectors at frozencpu.com and xoxide.com.

Yes thanks. I scroll so many vendors on a regular basis, I forget where I have been and where I was going.

Oks well It looks like i can find anything similar to circular molex connectors, so what ill do is just get quick connect molex connectors, and make a few Y connectors of my own. Would of been nice if you could get circular molex connectors huh?

Well yeah, but they wouldn't fit into your drives etc!?
