Help! Can't get rid of norton 2001!!!

I can't uninstall norton 2001 from my system!! I am using XP pro. Everything shows up as being uninstalled on the add/remove programs menu, but when I try to install norton 2002, it tells me there is a previous installation of norton system works, and that I must uninstall it to continue. Help a brother out!!

Uninstall XP Corp and go back to your previous OS. Then remove Norton 2K1 and then reinstall XP Corp then Norton 2k2.

If you did an upgrade to XP it would have told you that you had software installed that is not compatible with XP that being Norton 2K1. This is how I did it and everyhting is fine now.

can you go in to your regestry and delete the HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Symantec KEY(entire little folder)

and delete the Symantec folder from your drive

Remember, mess with regestry and mess with your entire system
