 Im not sure what is up with me + headphones. Ive gone through 5 pairs of headphones in 1 year. 3 Pairs of Sennheiser PC150s, 1 Zalman 5.1, and my pair of Audio90s. Are there ANY headphones that are insanly durable and < $50 w/ decent performance? Im about ready to giveup on headphones.

With the luck you have I would just go with those kosses everyone likes that are like $30 bucks. I cant remember the model number but it is in the headphone fact stickey. I can think of some expensive phones that you would have to try to break to break but nothing inexpensive.

Well, I was recommended some decent pair of headphones that are 7 bucks. I might as well buy 5 or 6 pairs of them so ill have a stock for the rest of the year

Second this. They really need a good burn-in to work properly though. You can get these for less than $20 as well.

You might also be able to find a pair of Grado SR-60's at $50 if you're lucky. The Sennheiser HD497's are around that price as well.

I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6's that I picked up of headfi.org for $50 and have had them for over a year and LOVED them. They have great bass and the seal out outside noise rather well. If you do a beyer pad mod to them they get even more comfortable.

Plus they are built like a tank, I have dropped, stepped, kicked and run them over with my chair and they still wont die.

The PC150's seem well built, but they seem bassless to me.

really? i thought the bass was pretty good on them. i guess it's a personal preference; or may be the sound card.

It may be the sound card. I am using onboard sound which as we all know is not the best.
