I bought my CPU today from amd's greek importer.
I ask for a t-bird 1 Ghz and when i open it's box i show something strange.
my stepping code (the importers seller which i contact didn't know what stepping code is so i told him send me the any of latest arrived 1Ghz t-bird) isn't any of the known for athlons (ayhja, etc) but it's ASHHA!!!! (week 38!!)
Can someone tell me anything about that stepping code?
i'm writing the full description exactly as is on my CPU and i will attach later and a photo.

no its 1ghz
I've just received an ASHHA 1GHz Athlon (from TCWO) and I'm not very excited since the only other post about this stepping says they suck. The default voltage is 1.85 so that should give a hint.
My ASHHA lockups at 1080 MHz in Q3 (K7VZA) but it could be my power supply (only officially approved for 800 Athlon). I have another PS on the way before I will decide to send the ASHHA back.

It's ASHHA! :)
As you see (sygnature) my 1Ghz T-bird works perfectly at 1450.
I cannot push it more due to Volcano :(
When i decide move to watercoolling i will see how far i can push it.

There is a guy on this forum who is running a 1Gig AYHJAR Y01 stepping Athlon @ 1.80GHz with 2V and a simple liquid cooling setup.
Thou I dont recall his name, he had shown me pictures and screenshots of actual raw power!!
@ 1700MHz, he was running on AIR with 1.85V only!

I just received an Athlon 1100 TBird with ASHHA | 9 stepping.
See what I can try to do with it.
first I need a new PS and a pencil :)
ps
I got it off eBay for $36. New old stock. So even if I can't OC the lil'bugger should work well as an internet stormer.
I have an ASHHA Y week 36.I haven't used it in a while but it was a pretty good chip. I was able to hit 164 FSB without really pushing it too hard .I had it running on my A7M.I still have it I should try it again now that I have my water cooling all setup.

Well I got my ASHHA 1100 to run at 1265, but Prime95 gave me errors (ran fine at 1100).
So It's a tad unstable.
Hated an fsb of 119,118,117 questionable at 116 ok at 115 (again Prime95 wasn't happy).
I think it's my KT133 NB (seems to suck above 115)
My older TBird had better stepping but couldn't go above 115.
