View Full Version : VERY BAD 3dmark05 score

My system is getting low scores for its specs -

Amd 3700 + 64 939
1gb pc3200 kingston value ram
Club 7800gt
160gb 7200rpm hard drive
550w psu

I only get 6234 on 3d mark 05 , any help on why?

lol yeah thats pretty crappy, my x800 p4 almost has u. try sisoft sandra and make sure your cpu is up to spec also, is anything oced?

to help you i need a bit more info :)

ok

wot m/b ?

overclock settings for system ?

is the 7800 overclocked ?

what are the std settings for you 7800 ie core and ram

what else is running in the back ground ie anti virus firerwalls ect do not miss anything out

I have an Asus A8n Sli delux mobo. My graphics card is -

Memory 256MB
Type GDDR3
Interface 256BIT
GPU 400 MHz
Memory 1000 MHz
DVI DUAL DVI
TV-Out Yes
Video-in Yes
Ramdac 400MHz
OpenGL 2.0
DirectX 9.0
PixelPipelines 20

And i have overclocked the mobo 10% using the jump free bois settings using the computer specified o/c.

I have unistalled the anti-virus and stopped things like bit torrent so just the windows fire wall.

good run the test again with all the other stuff off and put up a compare link
if score is not the one above

also download the latest chipset and display drivers

uninstall all chipset and display drivers from the add and remove icon in control pannel
then goto c drive and deleat the nvidia folder there

then reboot and install the new chipset drivers, again reboot

next install the display driver and reboot

run the 3d05 bench

do you have the card in the top PCIe slot? (top one is 16x in normal mode, bottom one is only 8x)

It is in the top slot, pcie 16. Also it says in the device manager my pci memory contoller is un installed and also i got 24,354 in 3d01 and does it matter if it is the free version.

i don't think it matters, but now thaty you say so, my rig (see signature) is benching almost EXACTLY the same?!

i score wat u score with my 6800GT. u should be pwning me with that card.

im scoring 6500ish in 3d05, about 14500 in 3d03, and about 26000 in 3d01. just for reference. :(

EDIT : Actually a lot better now with higher processor speed.

Will this effect gaming performance aswell because im not pleased with some fps with battlefield 2.
