Hi. I have an HP m370n pc. I recently bought an upgrade of RAM for it. It meets all teh specs that where posted on the HP website. But doesnt work. I contacted the company that produced the RAM and they say that factory made mobos have there settings locked and therefore teh CAS latency cannot adjust from 2.5 to 2 for my new RAM to work.Link to mobo description So im hoping maybee that one of you know how to unlock it or change it.

I tried searching the forums but i couldnt find anything.

:welcome:

lowering the ram timing (from 2.5 to 2) is actually harder on the ram, not easier. Any ram that is rated at CAS 2 will run at CAS 2.5 or slower timings. It sounds more like a compatibility issue and not a timings issue.
