Currently i'm using mbm to keep track of my temps, but i'd like some way to display it graphically, like rivatuner. I don't want a huge software package, just something small that i can keep open in the background.

What do you guys use?

Well if you want something small in the background you might take a look at Coolmon. You can build a whole desktop system stats system and get the temperatures from either MBM or Speedfan (there are plugins for both).

I use a random number generator on my calculator. I find it to be more accurate than mobo temp sensors.

neither does the sensors on motherboards that people use.

You are right, Mobo sensors are not very accurate but if you use them to measure your Delta Tempertatures (change in temperature) so you can generally tell wether your system is running hotter or colder than normal. I personally like speed fan but I am going to try coolmon.

Using Delta T isnt even good. Because the sensors are not calibrated, the temps can very wildly even though conditions are the same.
