I have a microstar ms-6117 motherboard. It currently supports PII and Celerons from 200 to 333 mhz by jumpers. If I flash the bios, it can support up to a 466 Celeron (but no PII's at that mhz). I don't know how to set the CPU mhz for this upgrade, since the manual includes intructions only for 200-333mhz cpu's. It also supports core/bus ratios from x2 to x6 or more (don't know how these are set) and cpu clock speeds of 66, 68, and 75 (set by jumpers).

In order for me to use a 466 Celeron, I must install it on a slot1-socket370 adapter. Those I have seen advertised on E-Bay often mention an overclocking jumper that will allow boards, that support it, to run at clock speeds of 100 or 133hmz.

Questions:

1. How would I set the CPU mhz jumpers on this mobo if I wanted to install a 466 mhz Celeron, when there are only instructions for 200 to 333mhz?

2. Would it be possible to install a Celeron chip at a higher speed than 466 if I overclocked it? And if so, what steps are required to do it?

thanks
