Please excercise caution as this card is listed as being SLI but the image shows no top connectors for the SLI bridge.

It is not the GT either.

even for a regular gefore6600 pci express this is a pretty good deal, people still selling their 5 series cards for 80 bucks and up

6600 cards are SLI compatible.
they do not need the SLI connection anymore, neither does any other SLI card...
all you need, is a 80 series driver from Nvidia, and 2 of the same card.
no connector needed anymore.

Must be the reason more and more bridges are popping up in the classifieds.

With a little overclocking and poor case ventilation you might get it hot enough to cook something.

It will arrive in an unmarked white box, cloaking its mystery in unassuming cardboard. Your trembling hands will fumble with the tape holding it closed.

6600's are great cards, and the core overclocks like crazy (almost 100% on stock... well maybe not passive)

The 6600's were always SLi compatible - they passed so little info to and fro they could do it via chipset. The 6600gt and up needed the dongle. For what it is worth, I do not think even a pair of 6600 vanillas is a good solution.

from what I hear, the new nvidia driver can go w/out dongle, though I have not seen confirmation of that, I have only seen confirmation that you can run different kinds of nvidia cards, IE pny and xfx 6800gt together.
