Help identifing my card!

Hey guys I bought a new "Sapphire X800 XT PE" and I recieved it today. It is OEM, so I got all the cables and the card.

It looks good to me, I put it in my system and I notice it just says X800 Serries, so no big deal I download ATi tool and it looks like the clocs are sitting at 500? I flip the card and I see "Radeon X800 XT 256MB".

So Does anyone here have a Sapphire X800 XT PE, that could tell me what their sticker says on the back of the card? Does the sticker say "Radeon X800 XT PE"?

Well, it is indeed the X800 XT not the PE, because of this I am super mad. I tested it in two computers both report 500mhz insted of 520mhz and the pictures I see of the Sapphire x800 XT PE the sticker says "PE".

So tomarrow I shall call and chew on someones head and hope i can get a refund for there crappy service.

You can tell if it's the XT or XTPE by it's clocks speeds. The sticker should show XT PE, but if it doesn't d/l and install Ati tool.

I believe the clocks are:

XT: 500/500
XTPE: 520/560

Yep my clocks on two different computers report as 500/500. Also How do I check if Sapphire is the manufacturer? The PCB is red much like BBA cards, however skimming google I do find a few red sapphire PCB's.

Dam that sux :mad: Someone stiffed you with a XT disguised as an XTPE. Best start making noise and make heads roll. Call the vendor where you got it from. I hope you saved the reciept.

Yea, I got the print off from the original order, and the packaging slip. I know I wouldn't mind having a X800 XT but telling me that I am getting a XT PE and giving me a XT without caring to notice me makes me supremely ****ed off.

I do intend to "make heads roll" tomarrow, I will try to stay calm and nice at first however I feel this is not going to be easy, to get my PE that is.

Just keep a level head and state your case about the false item they sent. I'm sure there's a resolution. Good luck and post back.

Yea, ill be sure to post back, probably around 4-5 EST time will be the sweet spot, i really hope they can get me a PE, but more than likely they will only give me the XT. If thats the case I hope to ask them to knock off $30.00 of the price for all the frustration that is a result.
