Well, any PCI-Express x1, x2, x3 or x4 card should work in an x4 slot.

Ahh so the PCI Express slots are mainly used for HD related and a few extra ports? Because for some reason I cannot configure the network port on my motherboard so I have a PCI network card in. So I have 1 slot for a network card, 1 for sound, and my only other one is partially covered up by my Video Card with a waterblock on it.
So I was hoping I could find something like a network card that worked on a PCI-E slot.
