Just for grins -

The Water Cooled Rig From Hell (http://img209.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img18277uv.jpg)

Thought you guys might get a kick out of it.

How did something like this ever happen?

Well, it involved me breaking down my crunching farm, temporarily using the node in the pic as my main rig, impulse buying the H20 kit in my sig, getting sick for a week, and then realizing I had to try out the H20 kit before my RMA period ended. I didn't cut any tubing cuz I'm not sure what my final lengths will be if/when I decide to put it in one of my empty cases. Believe it or not, I actually kinda' like it out in the open, with everything exposed and accessible!

BTW, it's the rig in my sig, and actually runs & cools decently well. I'm currently penning this post on this rig, while running CPDN 24/7, and doing light multitasking.

Oh, the case ain't much to look at, but the price was right! :p

And hey, it DEFINITELY has ease of serviceability! ;)

Oh well, to each thier own...

Strat

Thats not ghetto. The components are good. You just lack a case.

I don't know how you stand having it just sprawling out everywhere. :)

I am too much of a neat freak for that. Looks kind of like the intestines of a computer inside out!

lol every single one of my systems look like that for testing after i have done phase 1 leak testing and go to phase2 cooling part 1 . 1 warning. put your otherboard antistatic bacg under your hard drives and dont put your hard drives to close to any speakers.

Why? the magnets will have no effect on the hard drive... unless you're thinking about vibration, which is valid to a point, but it'd have to be a sub going pretty hard to damage it via vibration.

If you wan't ghetto I got it.

socket a maze 4 with a piece of sheet metal cut out for an adapter, Maze 4 GPU with an 80 pelt complete with weird insulation powered by an ancient AT PSU, a peice of air hose as part of my tubing, a bucket of ice water for a rad, and a house fan just in case and several othe fans just in case, all spread across my desk.

Yeah, your components are too nice to be considered ghetto. Your arrangement is def ghetto though.

Good point.

Nothing like testing phase change to really get messy. Really is fair to compare to a water test setup.
