any help would bve apreciated, thx

btw if you reccomend something it would be nice if you could tell me why you think its better :)

the ocz gold overclocks really well and for your system, if you're going to overclock a lot, why the 4200+ manchester? the 3800+ performs just as well and the Audigy 2ZS should be replaced by the new x-fi.

ok

is the new sound card expensive becasue i dont want to spend over 70 on a sound card

thx for reccomendation

It's my understanding that the Crucial Ballistix will out overclock the others. Yes, if you go for the 3800 X2 you can afford the X-fi. You could also save by going for a large 16mb cache hard drive over the much smaller Raptor. I know the Raptor is faster, but it's small and the hard drive speed doesn't really mean a lot in most applications other than they load faster.

ok

i would rather put more money in the cpu then a better sound card, so i dont have to overlcock as hard to get as much proformance

It's your call.
And I forgot, :welcome: to the Forum!

thx

thx, i have actually read alot on this forum and found alot of usefull info, but since im getting new comp soon i wanted to start asking questions, anymore info on my system would be great as i need as much info as possible :)

I'd say go for the X2 3800+. It's not hard for the X2 3800+ to get to X2 4200+ speeds, both cores top out to about 2.6ghz-2.7ghz on air usually. It's either get the X2 3800+ or move all the way up to the X2 4400+ for the extra cache, otherwise the X2 4200+ isn't worth the extra money you pay for a few mhz which you can easily clock to with the X2 3800+.

I would probably recommend getting the new X-Fi series. The cheapest one starts at about $100 and is much better then the Sound Audigy 2ZS series.

I probably recommend looking at the Forton AX500-A instead of that Enermax, many use the Forton and it's been proven to run rock stable.

pretty good psu for it's price. the x2 3800+ manchester can oc just as well as a 4200+.
