I sign up for ebay

I build feedback

I sell 2 items

a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop (734 with shipping)

and a bulk lot of 14 crappy laptops for 230 (the auction said 14 crappy laptops, ad were advertised as non working hence the price) (with shipping)

Both auctions end thursday night both pay thursday night..

friday morning (i shipped the dell laptop but not the bulk lot as those need to be sent on a truck t the post office.) those go out wednesday.

i get an email from ebay saying a couple of things

One says my account with ebay has been suspended because of chapter 9 to protect me or other people from losing money and i have to fax them a bunch of stuff. no reason provided. and the idiot buyer of the dell files NON RECEIPT because my ebay account was suspended.. He did not contact me and is not answering emails. I enter tracking info for the laptop its still in dispute

SO now i have 200 and change in my paypal account

. yes that tuesday, not 2 full business days after the auction ends

I try to withdraw the 200, paypal says it clears, i have nothing in my bank account.

Now, tonight (wednesday) i am notified that my account is suspended for suspicious behavior! and they want my ss number and other stuff faxed.. they wont tell me exactly what I did so F THAT, but it looks like even if the 700 from the laptop is put back i wont be able to touch that. F THAT

i am very ****ed off, and fear there is no way i can fight these people

i cant find any contact info for ebay. email only, and they keep sending me the same GENERIC CRAP.

i was on hold for 20 min with paypal i have to recharge my phone

those turds will do what they can to skrew ya
gotta love the system they set up :(

That's a huge Ebay flaw and they do it to save money, they do not have a phone number for you to call.... E-mail only

The only Ebay numbers are for their corporate HQ, and the corporate numbers are not listed on Ebays site, why? because they don't want you to call.

PS: There's got to be more to this story you haven't mentioned, or details you left out. Perhaps a phisher got ahold of your account or something along those lines. Because if not, then this makes zero cents as the way you have described it.

my only hope is that this guy finds some flaw in the laptop and sends it back, because i want to avoid taking a place to paypal, usa to get my cash back

i always get through to paypal, and they are always extremely helpful and friendly. and with issues like this, email is not your friend. you need to speak to someone. the longer you wait, the worse it gets. call, call, call

What's your fb rating? In general, low-feedback or "new" laptop sellers are seen as scammers.

Try Live Help.

Like SSS said, the tale this far makes very little sense. What are the auction numbers?

i talked to them the other day as you;re right i did leave one thing out -

when the complaint first went in i entered the tracking number of a non related item and called them to fix it and ask if there was anyway he will keep the money and the laptop - they were actually friendly, and fixed it over the phone

the auctions have been removed from ebay, my score was 12.. i've been sharing an account with my cousin for +2 years but he got into selling porn and i created my own

PS. Ebay live help is more useless than male nipples.

If you withdraw the money from paypal, it can take a few days for it to show up in your bank. I would call Paypal ASAP and find out what is going on. What did the auction say about shipping the laptops? (dead ones) Sounds like the guy that got the dead laptops got scared. Contact him and see if he has received them. If so, ask politley if he can contact PAypal as well. Something sounds fishy. Paypal will always address you by name in emails. If you get a Dear Pay Pal Member...That's a phishing scam. Best of Luck!

you can call the ppl whom bought you stuff
use the request info page on paypal :)

speak of the devil. I got another paypal phishing scam this morning. See below. See how they don't address me by name? If you get those, forward them to [email protected]

Actually the guy that bought the dead laptops is pretty cool, i talked to him and assured him that they will still be shipped

its the guy with the 700 dollar laptop thats a really idiot.

i basically told him this when he finally answered emails.

You now have both the money tied up and the laptop, and i'm NOT playing with you.
you have untill 6pm est to either provide a tracking number for the laptop or drop the non receipt complaint. because friday morning i'm getting in touch with his police department. Again, I have no problems spending thousands of dollars on lawyers and plane tickets to make sure you dont get away with this crap.

you can call the ppl whom bought you stuff

paypal wont give contact info over the phone, or anything. i tried looking him up throuh white pages it doesn't look like it's listed.

I believe you.
If you are going to use ebay, the only real way to not get scammed as a seller, is to only allow non-paypal forms of payment. I do not trust paypal since they are in complete control of my money, which is why I still don't have an account yet. Too many scammers use it and it makes it such a risk.

If your account is suspended, then you know it was ebay, and you really should be faxing the info if you want to get stuff done faster, if you don't, that just gives them reason to believe you truly are a scammer.

there is no way i'm faxing paypal my social security number, why should i fax these crooks that info, they've already proved they are running shady business.

but I will say the phone support for paypal after waiting was on par, she did at least attempt to answer my questions, she said it looks like my funds will be returned, getting them out of paypal will be a whole new mess
