fear and quake are going to be released at about the same time (fear=18/10/05, quake 4=21/10/05 in the UK) and we have had the fear demo for over a month now. anyone know if there is a quake 4 demo out there or if there is one on the way?

Yeah... search for it. Sorry, I can't seem to be bothered to do it, but I'm quite certain there is one.

As far as the Quake 4 demo goes, I am doubtful that there will be one. Exactly 5 days left...It wouldn't make sense :-/ Oh well tough it out :p

correct, id is very hush-hush about their games so I wouldn't expect to see a demo for a while.

Sounds like private alpha/beta testing.

I wish there was a demo, I'd like to see how my PC holds up to it.

Well you can try this (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=406666), closest thing you'l get to Quake4.

Its Quake II with Doom3 engine!

If you want to see how your PC will run Quake 4, run doom 3. Same engine so it should yeild very similar results.

Looks.....Ok I guess, hard to tell. Nice to see the same weapons exist. I'm kina iffy on this one though. I have been a HUGE die hard quake fan, especially Quake 3 RA, but I'm just not sure about this one. If it doesn't have the Quake feel, I'm gone like a fart in the wind.

Apparently this one isn't hitting stores until Wednesday in my area, if they even have copies available.
