third hard drive on primary slave on a raid 0 setup

i am wondering if there would be a problem,(i.e. performance or any other), if i hooked up a third hard drive on my primary slave channel of my raid 0 setup? any ideas? let me know thanks. i just want to use it for backup files and such.

If you're looking to have the drive available outside the array, I don't think that the proposed arrangement will work.An SATA controller card might be a good option here...

It should be fine if you are using an 80pin cable.
