... maybe if i could find a little more info on it..
seems like a very intuitive design tho...
i mean ... it gets rid of alot of cable mess... well sorta
I wouldn't risk my money on it. Seeing what thermaltakes past history on some of their products... *shiver*
There are other psus on the market that are modular. By modular i mean that you can remove the cables you don't need. One of which is the OCZ Modstream which is a pretty good psu.
though i do like those drive bays.

yeah im using a modstream right now and its ****ing me off because the stiffness i cant get rid of in the wires...
but i was thinkin of dropping my money on it, and testing it out, grabbing some rails and such and if it didnt meet requirements return it.
and the main reason is that nicely designed drive bay system they have going

that is a surprisingly good idea. However, knowing thermaltake the implementation will probably suck  . It would be interesting to see if other manufacturers use this design in upcomming products...

I have been looking at it and I think its a pretty neat idea. I wish I did not need the TT PSU to use it though. TT makes you use a 8 pin power connecter to the drive PST, so you can't use it with a normal power supply. I would pay for the mini PST though.

That is a great idea to keeping a clean case, but from TT makes me a little uneasy. We will just have to see some reveiws on it.
Well I'm with Tyreal on this one. TT's products are consistently inconsistent. (All right and that's vacuous verbage...must be something I drank.:)) Besides it has two 15 amp rails. If they were Fortron 15 amps that's one thing, but they are TT's. Also, there is a lot of wiring and two sub units to add to the clutter. I suspect they get a pretty penny for it as well.

i used a TT 480W psu for a year or so, it actually served me well.
i tweaked up the rails a bit though for higher clocks.

I had a TT430 and I have to go with the majority here so far. The unit was OK, but I was very weary of it. Especially after I saw what was going on with it on the meter when loaded with an OC. It got VERY hot. When I say VERY I mean alarmingly hot. I did not trust it when i was away, so every time I left this house I would down clock the system.
I could only get a 3.8GHz OC out of that unit. After installing an OCZ my OC went straight up to close to 3.9 (can't remember the exact number, but it was right there at 3.9. It is now slightly higher at 3.920GHz after some volt mods. I'm basically held back by temps now, and to me 3.9 is enough for the cooling I have.
The TT was not stable. The rails jumped up and down wildly when load was applied, and again, it got very hot. I do not like electronics that get hot. It goes against everything I have learned about electricity.
Don't get me wrong, the unit was OK, but I wouldn't recommend it to an OC'er. The rails just didn't have enough amperage, and cooling solution was inadequate for the type of use we put these machines to.
You have to admit, that OC'ing and gaming at the same time, and doing these bench runs we do is not something the average user does. To most what we do is extreme, and I like to recommend units I know have a good reputation from the people here, and units I have had success with.
TT has a good reputation, but I don;t consider them and enthusiast level overclocking type PSU. They are really more known for their cooling solutions. Kinda ironic that their PSU's run hot when you see the name TT.

the psu retails for only $139.99 which is not much more than a regular high quality psu..
i think on payday i might grab one for testing purposes.
