I have some problems with the drivers for my AX800XL
At first, when i built the computer ('bout a week ago) i was using the ATI original drivers. They worked pretty good, but nothing fancy. Then i read about the Omega Drivers, and tried installing them.
After restarting the computer, a popup gently informs me that "No ATI Device found!". Mildy concerned i run the dxdiag and see that none of my direct x features is working correctly. In fact they seem not to be installed at all.
So i try reinstalling the chipset drivers, and then the omega drivers again. No avail, the computer still doesn't think i have a ATI card. I give up and try to reinstall the old ATI drivers, but my direct x still doesn't work and the ATI Catalyst Control Center says it's got some files missing.
I got mad and uninstalled all the drivers and software and then i reinstalled them all. Still got the same problem :bang head . What am i doing wrong? Anybody got a hunch?
