Hey just looking to see who of you out ther have an X850, mine is an XT, and have overclocked it. Wanted to see what you all reccomended before I go burning the thing up.

Currently it has the stock cooler on it now...its a Saphire card (X850XT)

Lay it on me, if you please :)

I would also like to know what the max temp is that I should not let it get above, thanks!

Mine is kinda sux, same as yours, saphire X850XT. stock cooling with AS5 reapplied. 540/620, 100% Duty fan 61C. My core is sux, i'll try to improve the cooling then volt-mod it to see wassup.

my stock cooler sucked, at stock speeds I'd hit mid 70's C.
With water I was able to run 555x615 at stock voltages

so you didn't get to OC much on stock?

i didn't even try, temps were hitting 80c load at stock.
Those speeds could have been reached on air as well, just not with my stock cooler

I am debating weather I want to go to water soon or not...To do that I would have to do a little engineering to come up with an enclosure for the radiator and pump and fans but I have a great idea of what to do. I have a industrial 6 pass radiator (5/8" OD i believe) that should be amazing. Just a matter of doing it.

Has anyone used the ArcticCooling 5 for ATI cards? Is it worth buying it for this card or not really. I had the 4 on my X800 and it seemed to work ok however i just turned the auto overclock on on that one and then didnt really pay attention to it.
