I have been reading here about something called Memron? Is that the next big deal for Intel? Would I be better off finding the info about it at the Inquirer?Unless you have a short version about it and Cloverton, Conroe and Woodcrest.

Memron is the next Dual Core mobile based off of the Pentium M, with an improved FPU. It should be after Yonah. 65nm. Should be more effiencient than Yonah though. Should have some other architectural improvements as well.

After reading The Inquirer for the last hour or so...Intel's code wording is a nightmare to figure out.But... I wont build anything really new till Conroe hits the shelves and you guys have worked them into serious shape. Since Intel is in way saying goodbye P4, will the prices start to fall when the new lines come out?

I think Merom comes after and that Merom is only a mobile chip.

Conroe is the Desktop heavy hitter. It will have VT, there will be a 4MB cache version, and a 8MB cache version, it will be dual core, will be 64 bit, and will be a world killer. it is slated for release Dec. 06. I am praying to the Intel god's that they will release it to me early! LOL :santa2:

Cloverton will be the quad-cored chip for servers on the high end.
