I agree, amd is better for gaming. Also, don't get the raptor, the benefits aren't terribly high and you should instead get a 160gb harddrive and use the money on a better videocard. Try to shoot for a 6800 or a x800gto2 instead. And since you're gaming, you should get a gig of ram (corsair is maybe $10 more than that ddr2). You'll have a real nice computer after that.
 
Yeah, dont spend the money on the raptor if its just a budget gaming system. They do have noticible increases in performance, especially in raid-0, but it would take up too much space and money in your shuttle.

Also, take a look for a 3000+ Venice. They float around for pretty cheap.
