Hey all,

Well I sold all of my computers that were capable of gaming in favor of a small ultraportable notebook for school. But, now I want to play again. So, I'm going to throw a card into my parents computer.

It is a:

2600+ Athlon XP
512MB ram
80Gb HD
380W Antec PSU

So yeah, a bit dated. I'm basically looking for something at less than $150 or so that would allow me to play Steam Source games at 1280X1024. Of course, cheaper the better, and it has to be AGP.

So far, this is what I am leaning towards...

Thanks,

Odie :)

So, you think definitely go for the higher clocks instead of the 256Mb ram?

I am running the 6800 EVGA with 128mb ram and I was very pleased on my 21" crt until I just got a dell 2405FPW monitor, now it is jerky on the high wide screen resolutions, so if you run a wide screen monitor, go with more ram/faster card, I just ordered an x800XT AIW hoping it will solve the problem with the 16 pipes and the 256k of ram, I just do a lot of WOW so dont need top of the line... I hope.
