Hi all,
Some advice needed here…
I recently bought the WaterChill KT03-L20 CPU water cooling kit (http://www.asetek.com/main/page.asp?sideid=539). Which is pretty good. The thing is I’m wondering if it can be better.
You see the kit comes with one rad, and to cut a long short I got my hands on a second one.
Now the set up I current have is this…
Two fans at front of case sucking in air. Two rads on the inside of the back of the case with fans blowing air through the rads and out of the case.
The fans I’m using are all Coolermaster 80mm ultra low-noise fans (unable to give you exact RPM, etc.).
Now what happens is when I first turn my PC on after not using it all night I start with 22 degrees(centigrade) and I think that’s pretty damn cool! Then over time it slowly creeps up until I’m getting average temps of 38-41 degrees by the end of the evening.
Now my options as I see them are…
1) I need more powerful fans at the rear to blow more air through rads and out of case.
2) I remove on of the rads (as the kit – and tiny pump - is only intended to have one rad – and thus increase the water pressure and with the gap left by the removed rad I can use a fan to keep steady airflow.
3) Options 1+2 combined.
4) Something else.
…but please give me your suggestions.
Thanks!
Note: The temperatures give are with my case open on one side (I’m currently doing some testing) so they will increase a couple of degrees or so when the case is closed.
Also I’d like the suggestions to use the current equipment I have (with exception of buying fans) as I really can’t be toodled to buy a new water cooling kit, etc.
