Hi guys

In the last few months i have gone form a Ti4800SE to a geforce 5700 Ultra but i didnt really notice much of a difference.
I sold my 5700 and bought a 6600GT thinking it would be a massive improvement.

BUT!

I am only getting 1300 on 3d mark 2005 standard settings!

I hae XP3200+ (overclocked 2500)
On PcChips Mobo (Cheap and potential problem?)
1GB DDr 400 Ram
Brand New 80 Gig 7200rpm 8mb cache Hard drive

I have installed the latest drivers and installed winxp fresh.

Any suggestions?

I think i should be hitting 2500.

Toms hardware get 3281 with their beefy cpu.

Thanks

Did you upgrade to the newest drivers from Nvidia's site?

hhmm I would say motherboard but for that much of a drop I'm not sure

pc chips as I know them, are for basic budget desktop non gaming computers, having decent quality but low performance, am I wrong anyone?

Any 6600gt should break the 3000 Mark, I'm sure. Are you sure AA and AF are disabled?

Will flashing the motherboard bios do any good? I'm looking at the manufacuters website now and it details how to do it in win 98 not in win xp.

Not sure if i feel up to flashing the bios.

I think id better just stick to the AGP port driver for now

I'm guessing you weren't running at 8x AGP? Only 1x or PCI speeds?
