before on my msi board i was able to boot my raid0 array on my promise controller along with my 200 gig ide drive on secondary slave. but now since i switched over to amd, with my abit board i cant get it to boot up from my raid array instead of tryin to boot off the ide harddrive, its set to boot my array as priority but i cant specify what harddrive to boot first in the bios, just looks something like this,

First boot devices --- Harddrive
Second boot device --- Harddrive
Third boot device --- Harddrive

so i cant realy tell it what harddrive to boot first. any help appreciated.

dont know much about MSI boards as i dont use them,

can you not set boot rom raid array in bios?

are you sure you have the drives plugged into the right ports? for example my dfi board got in a mood with i had my raid 0 in ports 1 & 2 in my new board when i set them up on ports 2 & 4 on my old board.

have you checked the raid bios to see if its actually picking up the raid array?

Choose hard drive priority

Do you have an option to boot SCSI first? That does the trick in most cases.

nm i just figured it out, i had to disable ide drive mastering, then i was able to set my bootable add-in card to boot first
