Nathan, I don't think your allowed to have links like that in your profile, especially not advertising for another company, not too sure on that, but just telling you before a mod does I guess.

Sig PC#1 @ 4.01GHz (Yup - That's a Raptor RAID-0 "O.S. Array" PLUS a 600Gig RAID-0 "Data Array" in there!) plus:

  • Pull-Out Caddy Bay and 5x Removeable HD Caddies (in front 5.25" bay)
  • "Cool Drives" IDE-to-Firewire Bridge Board for Caddy Bay (Hot-Swap w/ Firewire) interfaced to the MoBo's INTERNAL FW port with the following HD's:
  • 2x Maxtor 300Gig PATA HD's in Cadies for B/U (DATA B/U Drives)
  • 1x Maxtor 160Gig HD in Caddy (More Data B/U)
  • 1x Maxtor 80Gig HD in Caddy (OS Image)
  • 1x Maxtor 40Gig HD in Caddy (Redundant OS Image)

I also added an old Power Supply from an unused USB enclosure to the rear of the PC. I use this P.S. to power 3 of my case fans so I can un-hook them w/o fear of messing with the primary PS's voltage (to avoid crashing while messing with Fans with the PC "ON"). A pretty cool mod if I don't say so myself. It fits PERFECTLY by the PCI area on the case with a bit of cutting, and even has its own mini Fan and AC-Mains connection out the rear of the case, too. This allows the PC to cool quickly after shut-down if needed (3 fans still run if PC is turned off).

Plus some case mods to allow the 120mm fan upgrades (cutting metal, and removing the front USB ports to make room). I mounted the 3x Fan Speed Potentiometers on the one free 5.25" panel, as well as a SPST Off/On switch for the IDE-to-FIREWIRE Bridge Board (The PC will "hang" if you boot-up with the FW Bridge Board connected w/o a HD in the bay - so I need to turn off the +5v power to the Bridge Board so I can boot w/o an HD in the caddy).

I really like my PC, and just messing with it in general. Fun stuff :santa:
