i just finished the voltage mod to my kt7a-raid and all i seem to gain is a higher cpu temp.i was running stable at 10.5x152,and i can still run at those speeds but i cant get 11x145 to even run with 2.14Vcore and the ram@3.6.i can get up to 10.5x155 but then i get problems running UT or even 3dmark2k1.ive been trying different dimm slots and that hasnt been helping either.everythung is maxed in bios and running cas2.
all i want is 1700Mhz is that too much to ask:rolleyes:
any suggestions?
hmmm cant change my sig.

what are you useing for cooling??

What processor are you using? I'm assuming that you aren't using the 850 Duron in your signature. What kind of temps are you getting? You may have reached the limit for your processor :( . Raising the latency on your memory might help you be stable at 10.5x155, but your memory performance will probably be lower than with the 152 FSB and faster timings. 1700 MHz is probably too much to ask. Best of luck on getting it any higher, and welcome to the forums.

Those processors typically max out around 1600 MHz, but those temps are too high in my opinion. With better cooling you should be able to grab some extra speed. It may not be worth the upgrade though, you could get a big increase in speed, but even the best cooling might not get you any faster than you already are.

"better cooling"
watercooling+ should get you up to 1.7
300mhz gain shouldnt be that hard to get to with a vmod and some good cooling

i think your right!i lowered the a/c going to my box and the character problem i was havin in UT stopped.watercooling here i came
i got my temps down to 40c/10c full load
can u take ur 3.3 line too high and burn the ram up?is there a certain level i shouldnt go above?

Never go over 3.6 or you might burn you ram, gfx and all other stuff you got

my amd buddy says that the technical limitation of this chipset is 1500mhz,
your lucky if you get it higher,
but its not the cpu at all its the chipset....
sorry man
im in the same position...
