hey guys,
my boss just got a 915g series intel mb and a 2.66ghz (330 i believe) Celly D for his word processing, and I am curious if anyone knows of any clockgen type programs that will work with the 915 chipsets (raising the fsb in windows)? Also, I am curious if these celly's usually have some room for imporvement w/o adding volts? I have searched for info on the clockgen, but haven't found anything.
TIA

Clockgen only works with certain mobo's. It depends on the mobo and less on chipset.

Yes I understand that, that is why I am asking if anyone knows of any clockgen type programs that will work...

OK I should of been more spacific. What mobo do you have?
Maybe try softfsb?

it is the 915GAV board if I recall correctly. I'll check out that softfsb, thanks for the hint.
My Celeron 330J (2.6ghz) does 4ghz on the stock voltage, so you can probably get a bit out of it.

if you go to clockgen's website, there are pretty good instruction on how to get it running. if you can find the clock generator and the corresponding PLL code, there is a VERY good chance of clockgen working. if clockgen doesn't have the PLL code you need, shoot off an email to the maker of it, and see if it can be added. he appreciates this i'm sure, as it updates the program, and keeps it viable for a greater amount of people.

we have a socket 478 celeron d 330 on a d845gvsr board. clockgen will bump it all the way to 3.9 before it locks up, and then it is the pci going freaky.
