Hello...
I'll make a long store short.
A friend thinks it's time to upgrade the old computer "233mhz/64meg/win98".
I have a "P4/1.5G/256/400/1.75v/SL59V/478 socket" and a
"Celeron 1.7/128/400/1.75v/SL68C/478 socket" just laying around from dead motherboards.
Got them a "PCCHIPS INTEL 845GV M-909G" MB refurbished from Newegg for about $22 and got a deal on some Kingston ram (PC3200/512mb/CL3) for $20.
Which CPU would be better/faster ?
The above is really "Plan B" !
Also ordered a "PCCHIPS SiS741GX M863G V5.1A" refurbished from Newegg for a "AMD 2400 Tbread" that came out of a HP with leaking cap's.
Would start and run for about a min. then reboot.
Hoping cpu is OK but if not I'll go with "Plan B" .
Thank guys...

Well I've not sure of tehse things OC, maybe soemone can help you there but if you can get the P4 to OC to 1.7+ tehn use it, else jsut use the Celeron. With only difference beeing 128kb in cache. I think the extra 300MHz is worth more than the extra cache.
