Im currently working on a custom mini-atx case (I am just going to sell it after) and I started to plan out where the mobo was going to go but I got no idea where to permanently mount the standoffs....Does anyone got a template I can print out and use?

Do you have a scanner and printer?
Or access to a photocopier?
Just do a copy at 100% and theres your template.

Printed templates won't work. It's best to make one out of cardboard by laying the motherboard on the sheet and using a permanent marker to mark the holes. Then use a hammer and a nail to mark where on the sheet you need to drill the holes.

There's no effective substitute for just using a dummy motherboard. Try to find a dead one to use.

maybe i should clarify a little (dont meen to be rude). I dont have access to a mini-atx board....and I dont want to find a dead one and pay shipping to get it here.

Then you're going to have to do some super-accurate measuring: http://www.formfactors.org/developer%5Cspecs%5Cmatxspe1.2.pdf

Take a look at section 2.2. But trust me, a dummy board will save you ALOT of hassle. I've tried doing this from measurements several times with no success.

Im going to waste ALOT of paper doing this....but when I do get a successful template...its getting posted

I am in a similar quandry.
I need to make a custom case for my media center (mini atx). I have the form factor notes in PDF format , but need to know where to put the cutout for the back plate.

I have my own Co2 Laser System , so cutting the hole isn't an issue.
Case is to be made of black acrylic (perspex). The laser is extermley accurate, too accurate to geuss sizes , as the holes cut are exactly as the drawing shows (no margin for error or slop in size).

Anyone got a template for this ?
