would you rather have good speakers or an awesome sound card?

I already have good a good speaker set... I wish I could test these X-Fi cards before buying, but there is no way to other than buying it! :(

Both

Both

Good soundcard - good speakers on a bad soundcard make it worse than before - bad speakers with a good soundcard show you the limit of the speakers.

Well... How about a nice car with a crappy engine - or a cappy car with a nice engine. The choice is yours.

how does this music one differ from the other bundles, is it just bundled software or do they disable or enable features for each?

hold up, i thought x-fi was designed special for use with headphones, not speakers... then again, i do remember reading something about a 5.1 experience out of a 2 speaker + bass setup or something

good find regardless! :D

wow i cant believe the pro cards have 64mb ram on it..

cant wait to see test that actually utilize its feature and see what type of gain is seen.

all in all sounds like a great card.

I heard Creative's next move is two X-Fi cards in SLI.

Yeah, and you can plug your hard drives and optical drives in via a headphone plug! The new interface!!! 10x faster than SATA!

on a quick responce, I just read Maximum PC's review on the 3 flavors of X-Fi card. They loved the thing but they also mentioned that you might not be able to distinguish the difference between an X-Fi and an Audigy 2zs over speakers...but you would over quality headphones for sure. And also at this point nothing is written to take advantage of the onboard RAM now...but should be later
