Hey, I am up in Ontario Canada and I was wondering if anybody was on Bell Sympatico High Speed Internet Service?

Mine is ALWAYS slowing up and my pings are HUGE!! I downloaded some tweaks from www.speedguide.net and they are installed, but still no change.

Anybody know what could be happening?
:(

Ah dude i thought i was the only one, i just called them today and they said that my line was 100% fine but no way, im getting around 200down instead of 1000down. Look at the post i wrote, there is a test i did on dslreports and it shows a 100% loss on the final hop!!! I dont know whats going on but i really thought it was me! Now i know its them, they said they were gonna test my line from there end to see if they could find anything. For now i dont even wanna play games online cause im lagging like hell. We will have to wait and see, like always:(

Im in Hawkesbury, Ontario, about an hour away east of Ottawa

Man, I called them, and they gave me the same speel... "Oh, everything looks fine in your area, but I will have to do some tests" Then he tells me all this stuff that I have already tried.

The next thing I know is that they are going to do a "Line Test" and it will take up to 72 hours to complete becuase they are "backed up".

Well you know what, they f*cking tell me everything is alright and that I shouldn't have to worry about anything!!!! So i say f*ck this sh*t!

Damn, they get me so ****ed, I tried everything, I even figured out the max MTU and MSSS and I also got tweaks from www.speedguide.net but nothing changed.

On CS, my pings are now between 300-500. Sometimes I will have under 200 for the first few minutes but then it jumps again.

Ah, I dont know what to do.

$20 says' they dont find anyhting wrong when they do your line test.......

Hey, where do you live in Ontario?

Its not Bell only. Not long ago I would hear the same stories with my cable, but now the problems went away.

I see you live in Missisaga (sp?).........this is a long shot, but do you know a guy with the last name Frank?

They told me that the line test would take ~24hours. They are backed up because of this i bet and they dont know what the problem is so they say its you not them. I used to get 1011kb/s on the sympatico speed test site and now look at this...

Test starting...
Average throughput: 226 kilobits/sec
Total Time: 37070 milliseconds
Done.

Im paying for 960kb/s not for 226kb/s:mad: I guess its easier to blame everyone else, not yourself.

Test starting...
Average throughput: 191 kilobits/sec
Total Time: 43720 milliseconds
Done.

What a crock of sh*t....I want to switch to @home, but I hear it can get REALY slow at times and I would HATE that!

Depending on time, @home can be as slow as a 56K. My brother is in Ottawa and he got that and after school around 5pm he says its slow as hell. But it runs great at 2am:D
