The exhaust fan on my Fortron 530w psu just recently died. I don't know how it happened, but it doesn't spin anymore. It was working fine since December when I bought it. My temps and rails seem to be the same, but I can't overclock anymore. Even raising the HTT to 225 results in no video/post.

I had it overclocked to 2.4ghz, 9x267 1.5v, but now I can't overclock whatsoever. Do you think I need to get a new psu to overclock again. I have another Fortron 530w, but it died on me this past weekend at a lan party.

The 530w wasn't meant for high 12v loads... ideally it would be best to replace it with the AX500-A for overclocking. If the PSU is still under warranty, it might be worth looking into an RMA. If you'd like to try replacing the fan yourself, this is a 20mm thick fan - you'll need to go looking for something 15-20mm thick to replace it. IIRC Zalman has such a fan.

Do you know why its not letting me overclock my system. I just had it overclocked to the specs in my sig last week, since december without a hitch.

Hard to say - could be getting too warm without the exhaust fan. These aren't cooled well to begin with, which is why I moved the intake fan to the outside of the PSU case.

Third person to have it happen to, eh (Me, godm@n and you)...

Check out my thread on it (FSP-530GNA with intake fan mod blahblah), i replaced it with a zalman 15mm fan
