Cracking open Intel cartridge (http://www.overclockers.com/tips04/) is for Intel based CPU cartridge removal.
and
Removing P3 HSF from the cartridge (http://www.overclockers.com/tips33/) but this one is for the P3 though.
welcome Tainice, have fun!
Why do you want to do this??? Is there an advantage? I have a slot1 P//400 MMX, I slid it out of the mobo, and was like hey pretty rad, then I removed the heatsink, and was like...er... I better put this back together. Tell us how it goes for ya.

Man o man...after i read the article on how to open the little chippy, i just follow the road with full force ahead. well, first of all i have to say, the article does help, but very little, even at all, for the way the author described on how to the open it does not apply to me. anyway, i was pretty upsetted when i found out that i could not open it up as easy as the description, i got mad...
so, the dark side of me appeared. I opened it alright, but some parts of chippy are damaged as the result. anyway, i have to say it was a fun experiment, except the last part where i gone too far. Uh..the reason i wish to seperate the case from the cpu is becasue i want a better cooling, and guess what? i can now run my 233 at 362 stable with original fan and no increase of vcore whatsoever!!! and i plan to keep squishing more out of the little dude with some improved cooling heatsink and paste. E-Ha..will let u guys know how far i go next time.
