Ok, first off, love the monitor! Its sexy. Anywho my problem is this:

Its not bright enough when Im playing games (bf2 for example)

I used to have a NEC monitor that had a "superbright" button that did wonders for me but now i dont have this feature. Is their any way to increase the brightness for my games only? (I know how to change the brightness of the whole monitor, but if i do, my desktop becomes TOO bright)

I apologize if this is hard to understand. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated.

I tried adjusting the color/brightness in the game but bf2 has no such option to do so.

Furthermore, is gamma the same thing as brightness?

on your 2005 FPW, there are 5 buttons in the lower right corner of the LCD.

hit the second button, in from the power switch.
thats your brightness and contrast button.

Thankyou for the reply,

Ive tried doing that already but unfortunately the contrast in greyed out and the
brightness seems to do absolutely nothing... man, i miss that superbright button.

Wow, LCD's are bright right from the start. I can't imagine one not being bright enough. Take off your sunglasses in the house.

Oh yeah, Its bright. but i had to tone it down (surfing the net and looking at my desktop was blinding) Unfortunately my games are too dim. :\
