Im trying to figure out exactly what this means off of MSI's site..

• Supports three 184-pin DDR SDRAMs up to 2GB memory size

• Supports DDR400*/DDR333/DDR266 DDR SDRAM (*Refer to MSI recommended modules)
• Note: PC3200 (DDR400) maximum 4 banks (2 double-sided) only
Due to the High Performance Memory design, motherboards or system configurations may or may not operate smoothly at the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard settings (BIOS Default on the motherboard) such as DDR voltage, memory speeds and memory timing. Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability.
Example: Kingston HyperX DDR500 PC4000 operates at 2.65V, 3-4-4-8, CL=3.

what does it mean by maximum of 4 banks?
 
your thread title does not reflect your question. Burst length and 4 banks are different things.

to answer your question, 4 banks would mean that the maximum that the memory speed will run at is PC3200 if you use memory modules that are up to 4 banks. If you take a stick of 512MB PC3200, you will notice (in most cases) chips on both sides. That is 2 banks. If you take a 256MB module, you will see only one side has chips. That is 1 bank. So if you use 3-512MB modules, that is 6 banks and the memory speed will slow down.

so your possible combinations to maintain PC3200 speeds is 2-512MB modules that are double sided, a 512MB and 2-256MB modules, 3-512MB modules that are single sided, or 2-1GB modules. There are other combinations, obviously, but I think you can understand the explanation?
