Alright,
I'm having a heck of a time trying to get this dual channel kit to put up some good o/c numbers. The highest I've gotten is around 220mhz with no errors in MemTest. My system:

146 Opteron
DFI NF4-Ultra
XP Home SP2
Bios 6/23-2 BTA

Currently all memory settings are on Auto. However I've experimented with lots of timings, and I always get at least 3-5 errors in MemTest #5. However, when I run each individual stick, they test fine, I only get the errors in Dual Channel. These errors obviously lead to random freezes/crashes in windows.

I was under the impression that these modules should be able to do over 220mhz. Should I try running an ultra high HTT and higher divider with a lower CPU Multiplier?

The exact model I have:
mushkin Redline XP3200 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit

Heres some of what I noted while I was testing:

250mhz - 2-3-2-0 -7-0 SINGLE STICK - OK!

200mhz - 2-3-2-6 -12-256 CPU/10 5358/5313 (2.0ghz CPU) Errors
241mhz - 2-3-2-7 -16-256 CPU/12 7030/6891 (2.9ghz CPU) Errors
240mhz - 2-3-2-7 -16-256 CPU/12 6985/6939 (2.88ghz CPU) Errors
233mhz - 2-3-2-7 -16-256 CPU/12 6773/6665 (2.8ghz CPU) Errors
233mhz - 2-3-2-5 -13-256 CPU/12 6776/6730 (2.8ghz CPU) Errors
233mhz - 2-3-2-7 -13-256 CPU/12 6746/6722 (2.8ghz CPU) Errors
203mhz - 2-3-2-7 -12-256 CPU/14 5913/5914 (2.85ghz CPU) Errors
250mhz - 2-3-2-0 -7-0 CPU/8 5529/5456 (2.0ghz CPU) Errors
224mhz - 2-3-2-5 -13-16 CPU/10 5982/5878 (2.8ghz CPU) CURRENTLY

Heres my current settings. PLEASE review, and if there's something critical I need to change while overclocking these modules, let me know! (Or *ANY* suggestions.)

If you have any suggestions of settings to try, let me know and I'll post results. If I'm way off base thinking I should be able to pull more out of these, also let me know. *ANY* suggestions please.

First off get the latest 7.04-2BTA as these will work best with your UTT's.

Second, you could technically run these in yellow slots but I'd recommend that you stick with the orange ones.

The timings that you provided look OK, but you didn't say how high your Vdimm was at those freq. If you want to go higher on these you will need to bump it up. At 210-220MHz around 3-3.2V should be enough and after that start working your way up. Eventually you will need to switch the 4V jumper if you want to push these farther.

As for the timings try using these:

CPC ENABLED (this disables 2T)
Tcl 02
Trcd 03
Tras 06
Trp 02
Trc 08
Trfc 16
Trrd 02
Twr 02
Twtr 02
Trwt 02
Tref 3120
Twcl 01
Bank Inter EN
Dynamic Skew Control Auto (Off)
Skew Value 0
Fast
DRAM Drive Strength 08 (higher your Vdimm set the higher Drive Strenght)
DRAM Data Drive Strength 01
Max Async 7ns
Read Preamble 5ns
Idle Cycle 16
Dynamic Counter DIS
R/W Que Bypass 16X
Bypass MAx 7X
32 Bit Gran DIS

Currently at 3.53vdimm

Will try the new bios and timings. Thanks! Will post results

try those settings out. thats what a user at XS used to get his pc3200 redlines to ddr530 with 3.5v. they are good settings, im using a modified version of them on my rig atm.

Zebbo you thinking that these are new revisions?

I had thought they could be, but since he mentioned "Redline" I cant say for sure until I know what is the P/N. I hope it's not the new revision... Feeding TCCD with 3,5V is far away from good

alright, i think you should get the news out that the new Redlines arent UTT, and infact are TCCD, because i had come to the conclusion that it was gonna become BH-died utt, instead of CH-died utt, which is now extinct.

CCUABIDExORxDIE, I already made an announcement that XP3200 and XP4400 uses TCCD nowadays. However, XP3200 and Redline XP3200 are not same stuff so there might be mistyped information on our resellers website too (informed to be Redline when it isn't).

Redline XP3200 is CH-UTT
XP3200 is TCCD

I'm literally at my wits end. Theres a few new posts here, so I'll try out the recommended settings. I can't get error-free memtests at even 220mhz using all kinds of divider/multi combos. I've tried 7-04 BTA-2 , 6/23-2 and I'm on 6/23-bta-2 which so far has been the best with only 1 error on test 5 at 220mhz. What makes me frustrated is that each stick will individually run VERY well, but togeather, no go. I'm really considering selling these and getting some OCZ Plat rev 2s.

Anyways...on with the testing.

FYI - I bought these from Newegg.com:

mushkin Redline XP3200 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail

Not exactly. I have both sides of the case open and an 8inch fan blowing directly at the CPU/DIMMs.

Define active cooling.

Will try those settings. Currently tried the settings in the above screenshot...cannot complete pi32m didn't even want to run MemTest...

Should I be setting the timings VIA AMD64Tweaker or bios?

Thanks.

Zebbo - BIOS what?

RedDragon - then yes, I do have active cooling.

Just completed Pi32m at 233mhz all AUTO settings...hmm...wonder if there's memtest errors...

Im so lost.
